Pascal Sebah Collection

Pascal Sebah is a French-Lebanese artist and photographer. He was born in Paris in 1823 and moved to Lebanon at the age of seven. His work is known for its vivid colors, bold lines, and unique compositions. He was a pioneer of photography in the Middle East, having taken some of the earliest photographs of Cairo and other cities in Egypt. He also produced some of the first postcards from Egypt, which were popular with tourists at the time. His work has been exhibited around the world, including at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and The British Museum in London. He died in 1886 but his legacy lives on through his artworks which continue to inspire generations today.
