1744 Human Pulex flea by Rosenhoff Featured Maria Sibylla Merian Print

1744 Human Pulex flea by Rosenhoff

His entomology artwork is among the finest of the 18th Century. Though this artwork is influenced by Hooke's famous print in the 'Micrographia' it is clear Rosenhof has made his own observations with regard colour etc
