Sketch cover - the Marchesa Malacrida
Marchesa Nadja Malacrida portrayed by Olive Snell on the front cover of The Sketch magazine. She was born Louisa Nadia Green, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Green and niece of Lord Cowdray. Married Pier Malacrida Saint-August in 1922 who was a society decorator. The Sketch magazine mentions her, charming and unusually decorated house in Mayfair, adding, The severe style of her coiffure suits the Marchesa's type of beauty to perfection. Date: 1929

Watercolour of Charles Greens Royal Vauxhall (later known as the Nassau) balloon over the Medway, 7 November 1836. After a flight of some 480 miles lasting 18 hours Green - accompanied by Robert Hollond (MP for Hastings) and Thomas Monck Mason - landed at Weilburg in the Duchy of Nassau, the longest flight that man had accomplished up to that time.
