Joseph Crawhall Collection

Joseph Crawhall (1821-1896) was a British artist and naturalist. He is best known for his watercolor paintings of birds, animals, and landscapes. He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied at the Royal Academy Schools in London. He traveled extensively throughout Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East to observe wildlife and paint their natural habitats. His work was exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1851 onwards.
