Aureliano de Beruete (1845-1912) was a Spanish painter, art critic, and collector. He was born in Madrid and studied at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. He was an important figure in the development of Spanish art in the late 19th century. His works were mainly landscapes and portraits, but he also painted genre scenes and religious works. He wrote extensively on art theory and aesthetics, as well as being a major collector of Spanish paintings from the 16th to 19th centuries. His collection is now housed at the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
