EDITORS COMMENTS

Here is a 250-word caption for the photo print: "A moment of great pride and tradition. His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge takes his first Colonel's Review as he assumes command of the Irish Guards Regiment on Horse Guards Parade Ground in London, June 10th, 2017. As Prince William rode onto the iconic parade square, more than one thousand Household Division soldiers performed their ceremonial duty with precision and pride. This momentous occasion marked a new chapter for HRH The Duke of Cambridge as he took up his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards Regiment, following in the footsteps of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The photo captures the essence of this grand ceremony, showcasing riders from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment (HCMR) and their magnificent horses. As Prince William inspected the troops on parade ground, he was surrounded by a sea of colour and sound - dry horse hooves pounding against stone flags, marching bands playing stirring tunes. This image is more than just a snapshot in time; it represents tradition, duty, loyalty, and service to country. It embodies the very spirit of our Armed Forces as they proudly serve their nation on this special day.
