White-beaked Dolphin Collection

White-beaked dolphins (Delphinidae) are a species of marine mammals found in the cold waters of the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, and are medium-sized dolphins, typically reaching lengths between 2.5 and 3.5 meters and weighing up to 300 kilograms. White-beaked dolphins have a distinctive white beak, gray back and sides, with lighter gray or white on their underside. They have a tall dorsal fin that is curved backwards at the tip, and their flippers are short compared to other dolphin species. White-beaked dolphins feed mainly on fish such as cod, herring, mackerels and squid but also eat crustaceans like shrimp and crabs when available. They live in small pods of up to 15 individuals but can form larger groups for protection or feeding purposes during certain times of year. These social animals communicate with each other through whistles, clicks and other sounds which they use for navigation as well as communication within their pod members.
