Brown Tree Snake Collection

The Brown Tree Snake is a species of nocturnal, arboreal snake native to the islands of Guam and New Guinea, and is a slender, medium-sized snake with a light brown or grayish coloration. They are grow up to 3 feet in length and has an average lifespan of 10-15 years. Its diet consists mainly of small birds, lizards, frogs, and eggs, and is an excellent climber and can be found in trees or on the ground near water sources. Unfortunately, this species has become an invasive pest in many parts of the world due to its ability to reproduce quickly and adapt well to new environments. In Guam it has caused major ecological damage by preying on native bird populations and causing power outages by entering electrical substations. Despite its negative impacts on local ecosystems, the Brown Tree Snake remains an interesting species that deserves further study for its unique behavior and adaptations.
