Grey wolf - mother with young pup lying in grass
June. North America
Canis lupus
Image was taken in a wild setting in Northern Montana, USA, with a privately owned, captive (born and raised) wolf and pup. The location was just outside the boundry of Glacier National Park in the Northern Rocky Mts of Montana. This park does have a population of wild wolves - though rare to see.
