Java Delta Featured Tupaiidae Print

Java Delta

A March 2018 aerial view showing a delta protruding into the Java Sea, on the north coast of Java Island, near Indramayu, Indonesia. The coastal plain is intensely developed into farmland, almost exclusively rice paddies, with some shrimp ponds along coastline. River sediments discolor the ocean with brown plumes. The mosaic of farmland juxtaposed against a muddy coastline makes for an oil painting appearance from this altitude
