Peters Mouse (Muridae Mammalia) is a small rodent that belongs to the family of Muridae, and is native to Europe, North Africa and parts of Asia and has a grayish-brown fur and can grow up to 8 inches in length. Its diet consists mainly of seeds, fruits, insects and other small invertebrates. An active animal that spends most of its time foraging for food during the day and resting at night. It lives in burrows or nests made from grasses or leaves which it builds near trees or shrubs. The mouse reproduces quickly with females producing up to six litters per year with an average litter size of four young mice each time. Peters Mouse plays an important role in its ecosystem by dispersing seeds and controlling insect populations as well as providing food for predators such as owls, foxes and weasels.
