False Killer Whale Collection

False killer whales (Delphinidae) are a species of oceanic dolphin that live in tropical and subtropical waters around the world, and are closely related to other dolphins, such as orcas and pilot whales, but have a distinct appearance with a black or dark grey body, white patches on the throat and chest, and an elongated beak and can grow up to 6 meters in length and weigh up to 1 tonne. They feed mainly on fish, squid, octopus and sometimes even other marine mammals. False killer whale pods typically consist of 10-20 individuals but can reach up to 100 animals during certain times of the year. These dolphins are highly social animals that communicate using clicks, whistles and pulsed calls. Unfortunately they are listed as 'Data Deficient' by the IUCN due to lack of data about their population size or trends.
