Frida is a genus of cricetid mammals, commonly referred to as hamsters, and are native to Central Asia and are found in parts of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Russia. They have short fur that ranges from grayish brown to yellowish-brown with white bellies. They typically measure between 4-6 inches long and weigh between 2-4 ounces and can omnivorous animals that feed on seeds, grains, fruits, vegetables, insects and other small invertebrates.
