Pink Robin Cushion Collection

Pink Robins are a species of Australian passerines birds, also known as Petroica rodinogaster, and are native to Australia and New Zealand, and can be found in open woodlands, grasslands, and urban areas. Pink Robins have bright pink plumage on their chest and head, with grey wings and back, and are small birds measuring around 11-13 cm in length with a wingspan of 18-20 cm. Their diet consists mainly of insects such as beetles, caterpillars, spiders and ants which they forage from the ground or low vegetation. Pink Robins also feed on fruits such as berries when available. They build cup shaped nests out of twigs lined with grasses or feathers which they place in trees or shrubs near the ground level for protection from predators. Breeding season is usually between August to January when males will sing to attract mates while defending their territories against other males.
