The Danger Tree

The remains of the Danger Tree, pictured in 1927 with an explanitory sign, with a tin hat and the remains of a machine gun next to it. The Danger Tree earned its name after it became a highly visible target for enemy fire in the Somme region of France during World War One. Date: 1927
