A souvenir and programme of the Women's Coronation Procession, 17th June, 1911, giving details of the Pageants. The Suffrage Societies taking part and the routes, of The Greatest Procession of Women Ever Witnessed. Has portraits of many of the speakers including Mary Gawthorpe, Christabel Pankhurst, Adela and Emmeline Pankhurst and Annie Kenney. Printed on crepe paper with colourful border of flags, by S. Burgess, York Place, Strand. Date: 1911

Suffragette Scottish W.S.P.U Cup & Saucer

A tea cup and saucer commisioned for use at the Scottish W.S.P.U Exhibition, held in Glasgow in April 1910, Votes for Women April 22nd 1910, remarked that the design is a combination of the Scottish and Suffrage emblems; the figure of justice designed by Miss. Sylvia Pankhurst and the Scottish thistle stand side by side in most delicate shades of purple and green. The Sylvia Pankhurst motif of the Angel of Freedom appeared on the tea service designed for the refreshment rooms at the Women's Exhibition in Knightsbridge in May 1909. The Scottish piece bears the mark of the Diamond China Co. and is all hand painted. Date: 1910

Suffragette Give Me a Vote Ceramic

A wild-eyed suffragette dressed in the colours of the W.S.P.U - purple, white and green, waves a flag which reads, I Want a Vote'. The inscription on the base reads, Give me a Vote and See What I'll Do!'. Based on a design by John Hassall who was commisioned by the National League for Opposing Women's Suffrage in 1912 to produce posters and postcards for propaganda purposes. This ceramic figure was made by the enterprising firm of Schafer & Vater in Germany. Height 13cm. Date: circa 1912
