Former Labour Party leader Michael Foot forgot politics to display his literary leanings
Former Labour Party leader Michael Foot forgot politics to display his literary leanings during a public lecture at Warwick University Arts Centre, Coventry. Mr Foot was on campus to address a 250-strong audience on the life and works of Byron. The event marked the launch of a series of books on European humanities by Wariwkc University academics. Mr Foot said: I am thrilled to be here because the university has such a splendid reputation and it gives me the chance to spread some propaganda on Byron, my pet subject." The series of books published by Macmillan Press in association with Warwick European Humanities Research Centre.
