Us-Lindbergh-Flight
Erik Lindbergh, grandson of legendary aviator Charles Lindbergh, takes off from Lindbergh Field near San Diego 14 April, 2002, to retrace the begining of his grandfather's first leg that would lead to the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927. Erik Lindbergh, 37, took off from the airport named after his grandfather in his "New Spirit of St. Louis" plane bound for the central US city of St. Louis, Missouri, at the start of a journey that will end in Paris next month.
