Fresh from their successful campaigns in Serbia and Bulgaria during World War 1, the soldiers of the 5th Connaught Rangers are seen here taking a well-deserved rest. The 5th Connaught Rangers, part of the British Expeditionary Force, played a significant role in the Balkan Campaign of World War 1.
