Scout Patrol Leader Willie Chun signing autographs
Willie Chun, whos 12 years old and an American of Korean parentage, is a Patrol Leader of Boy Scout Troop 90 in Hollywood. Willie had a special showing of the new Robert L. Lippert production, " The Steel Helmet", in which he plays an important role. After the showing, Willie donned the helmet which he wore in the film, served the kids hot dogs, cokes and ice cream. Before the party ended, the kids got Willie to sign autographs for them. Willie attends school in Hollywood and is in the 7th grade. Left to right are William Chun, Mickey Lowther, Dennis Waid, and below, Willies little brother Norman.

In this photograph, twelve-year-old Willie Chun, an American of Korean parentage and Patrol Leader of Boy Scout Troop 90 in Hollywood, signs autographs for excited children after a special screening of the new Robert L. Lippert production, "The Steel Helmet." Willie, who is in the 7th grade at his Hollywood school, wore the helmet he donned in the film for the occasion and treated the kids to hot dogs, Cokes, and ice cream. The young actor, who plays an important role in the film, is flanked by Mickey Lowther and Dennis Waid. To the left, Willie's little brother Norman looks on with curiosity. The children were thrilled to meet their hero and get his autograph, making it a memorable event for all involved. The special showing took place in the new year of 1951, marking a significant moment in Willie's young acting career.
