This evocative photograph captures the strong and determined gaze of Brigadier General Roland Boys Bradford, a British soldier and esteemed recipient of the Victoria Cross during World War One. Born in 1892, Bradford displayed exceptional courage and leadership on October 1, 1916, at Eaucourt L'Abbaye, France.
