Arthur Burdett Frost Collection

Arthur Burdett Frost (1851-1928) was an American illustrator and graphic artist. He is best known for his illustrations of animals, particularly birds, which appeared in books and magazines such as Harper's Weekly. He also created a number of political cartoons during the late 19th century. Frost was born in Philadelphia and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts before moving to New York City in 1877 to pursue a career as an illustrator.
