Bulwell viaduct nearing completion

Taken around 1897, this is the view south towards Bulwell viaduct. Apart from some significant gaps in the parapet, the structure appears complete. At 390 yards (357 metres), this twenty-five arch feat of engineering was the longest viaduct on the London Extension. Note the small boy who is lying down in the foreground..
