At lower centre is the opticchiasma (X shape), where the optic nerves from theleft visual field of both eyes go to the righthemisphere of the brain, and vice versa.Surrounding the optic chiasma is the circle ofWillis (light green), where the basilar and 2carotid arteries serving the brain terminate andgive rise to the anterior, middle and posteriorcerebral arteries.
