Blacksmiths shop in Mowmacre Hill, Leicester

Interior view of the contractor's blacksmiths shop on Mowmacre Hill in Leicester, taken during the construction of Contract No. 2 (East Leake to Aylestone) built by Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton. The two blacksmiths pose by the hearth - one leans his hammer on the large anvil on the left. A wide array of tongues can be seen racked in the foreground.
