Princess Margaret, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Connaught, was a popular figure in British society, known for her beauty, grace, and intelligence. Her marriage to Crown Prince Gustavus Adolphus was a significant event in European royal history, as it marked the beginning of a new alliance between Sweden and Great Britain.
