Capt David Almot (left) and Major Howard Floyd take a close look at one of the Apache attack helicopters at RAF Leuchars due to participate in a flying exercise over Scotland and Northern England to test tactical leadership skills of frontline aircrew. * Almost 50 fixed wing and 14 helicopters will take part in the exercise between February 18-28th, 2002. The night operations exercise is being held in Scotland and will hone the leadership skills of the aircrew in a controlled, but realistic night tactical environment. Flying will take place each evening, from Monday to Thursday, for the duration of the exercise, with all low level aerial activity completed by 11pm.
