Great Northern Railway station at London Road, Nottingham

Photographed from the Midland Railway line in October 1898, this is the Great Northern's station at London Road, Nottingham. A large crowd have gathered for the city's annual Goose Fair, an occasion which, in 1898, included swimming shows, steam yachts, menageries, gondolas and lions.
