Painted tunicate colonyPainted tunicate colony ( Clavelina picta ). Atunicate is a sessile marine animal that feeds bycirculating water through its tubular sac-likebody. Painted tunicates live in clusters rangingfrom a few individuals to as many as 1000, eachmeasuring approximately 15mm across. Photographedin the Bahamas, Caribbean Sea.
