The image features Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, with their children, Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, and their daughters of the late Duke of Connaught, Prince and Princess Alexander of Teck, Princesses Cecilia, Philippa, Theodora, and Sophie. The royal family is seen gathered around the Duke of Connaught, who was the father of the Duchess of York, as they admire the bouquets of the bridesmaids from the wedding of the Duke's daughters, Princesses Cecilia and Philippa, to the Marquess of Baden and the Hon.
