Miss Muriel Haddesley, former England woman cricketer and Warwickshire County golfer and hockey player, has been appointed to supervise the physical training and sports of women in the National Fire Service throughout England and Wales.
She comes straight from her position as lecturer at Nonnington College of Physical Education with the rank of Area officer. Her duties will cover the work of 400 NFS women, physical fitness instructors, throughout England and Wales.
