King Alfonso IV the Wise, also known as Alfonso IV of Aragon, ruled the Kingdom of Aragon from 1327 until his death in 1336. Born in 1299, Alfonso was the eldest son of Peter III of Aragon and Constance of Sicily. He was known for his wisdom, military prowess, and patronage of the arts.
