According to the biblical account in Luke Chapter IV, Verses 1-3, Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit after being baptized by John. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him, and he opened it and found the place where it was written: 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.' In this scene, we see Jesus, a man of the people, addressing a group of men and women, their rapt attention focused on his every word.
