Harrison's presidency, which lasted from March 1889 to March 1893, was marked by several significant accomplishments. He signed the Sherman Antitrust Act, which aimed to limit the power of monopolies and trusts, and he established the U.S. Geological Survey to study natural resources. Harrison also worked to improve the U.S. Navy and supported the annexation of Hawaii. Despite his achievements, Harrison faced numerous challenges during his presidency. The economy was in a recession, and he was unable to win re-election in 1892.
