Tang Collection

Tang, or Acanthurus tang, is a species of fish found in the Indo-Pacific region, and is a member of the family Acanthuridae and has an oval-shaped body with a bright yellow tail, and are generally peaceful and can be kept in groups with other fish, although they may become territorial when breeding. They feed on algae and plankton in the wild but will also accept prepared foods in captivity. Tangs need plenty of swimming space as they are active swimmers and require good water quality to stay healthy and can reach up to 12 inches long when fully grown and live for up to 10 years if well cared for. Tangs make great additions to any saltwater aquarium as they add color and activity to the tank while helping keep it clean by grazing on algae growth.
