Laings Southern Region was awarded a £ 3.8m contract by the Metropolitan Police for the construction of a divisional police station at South Norwood. Work began at the 2100 square metre site in 1986. The structure comprised a reinforced concrete framed building and reinforced concrete basement with brick cladding, services and external works
