EDITORS COMMENTS
Once upon a time in a far-off land, a young goose girl named EnCHANTed tended to the geese in the royal park. Her life was simple and routine, but she harbored a secret dream - to become a princess. One fateful day, as she led the geese to the lake for a drink, an enchanted talking horse named Falada appeared before her. With a head crowned by the skull of his former master, Falada was a sight to behold. But the horse, once a proud nobleman, had been transformed into this grotesque form as punishment for revealing the truth about the wicked intentions of the king's son. Despite his fearsome appearance, Falada became EnCHANTed's loyal companion and confidant. He revealed to her the dark secret that the prince intended to marry her in disguise, planning to betray and kill the true princess. With Falada's guidance, EnCHANTed managed to escape the danger and seek refuge in a distant land. This scene is inspired by the classic Grimm fairy tale "The Goose Girl," beautifully illustrated by the renowned artist Rackham. The image of the goose girl and the talking horse, with the head of the Falada, is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of friendship and the courage it takes to overcome adversity. The intricate details of Rackham's artwork transport us to a magical world, where enchantment and danger lurk around every corner. As we gaze upon this timeless tale, we are reminded of the rich history of storytelling and the enduring power of the human spirit. May the magic of this image inspire us to face our own challenges with courage and the unwavering support of our friends.
