Russia has its own rich history with sleighs too. Outside St. Petersburg stand Russian sledges adorned with intricate designs and vibrant colors - a testament to their love for this traditional form of transportation captured beautifully by Pavel Osipovic Kovalevskij's painting "The Meeting" from 1871.
