Paul Shoesmith was a talented motorcycle racer who left an indelible mark on the racing world. Known for his fearless and determined spirit, he competed in various races throughout his career, showcasing his exceptional skills. In 2010, Paul Shoesmith rode a BMW in the Superstock TT race, leaving spectators in awe of his speed and precision. His performance was equally impressive in 2007 when he raced a Yamaha in the Superstock TT event. Not one to shy away from challenges, Shoesmith took on the Lightweight TT race in 2014 astride a Kawasaki. The intensity and passion he brought to this competition were unmatched. Shoesmith's versatility as a rider was evident as he also excelled in Supersport events. In 2010, riding a Yamaha, he showcased his finesse and agility during the Supersport TT race. His talent extended beyond just the Isle of Man TT races. In 2008, during the Junior TT race 1, Shoesmith proved himself yet again with an outstanding performance that left fans cheering him on. The Southern 100 became another platform for him to shine. In both 2012 and 2009 editions of this prestigious event, riding Yamahas respectively; Paul demonstrated remarkable skill and determination that earned him well-deserved recognition among fellow racers and enthusiasts alike. Continuing to push boundaries at every opportunity presented itself; Shoesmith participated in Senior TT races aboard BMW motorcycles multiple times. Both in 2014 and earlier years like 2012 or even back to back performances such as those seen with Yamaha bikes (Supersport) or Kawasaki machines (Lightweight), Paul consistently delivered thrilling moments that will forever be etched into racing history. Sadly though tragically cut short too soon by an accident during practice for Southern Hundred Race held July of '16 - Paul's legacy lives on through memories shared by friends & family members who continue cherishing his passion for racing.
