In the scorching heat of July 27, 1880, a battle raged on in Maiwand. The Guns at Maiwand echoed through the rugged terrain as soldiers from The Royal Berkshire Regiment fought valiantly against all odds. This heroic stand would forever be etched in history. Today we remember them – The Royal Berkshire Regiment – for their indomitable spirit displayed during that historic battle at Maiwand in 1880. Their valor shall never fade away.
