Meet Jim Engelbrecht, a globetrotting adventurer with a passion for exploring the world's hidden gems. Originally from Bavaria, Germany, he found his love for surfing while visiting Passau in Europe. Inspired by the Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA, Jim decided to take up this exhilarating sport and has since become an expert on riding waves with his trusty surfboard. When he's not catching waves in sunny Florida or cruising through Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades aboard the Grandeur of the Seas by Royal Caribbean, you can find Jim wandering through the charming streets of Amsterdam in South Holland. Armed with a detailed street map, he loves getting lost amidst its picturesque canals and historic architecture. Jim also has a green thumb and takes pride in nurturing his collection of Coleus plants back home in Hoorn, North Holland. He finds solace amidst their vibrant colors and intricate patterns that remind him of nature's beauty. As an art enthusiast, Jim appreciates unique pieces like Texas state flag art found in Wimberley, Texas - perfect for editorial use only. However, it was during his visit to Maui in Hawaii where he encountered the mesmerizing Haleakala silversword plant. Its silver leaves glistened under the Hawaiian sun as if inviting him into another world. In Brussels' Palais Royal - home to Belgian royalty - Jim marveled at its grandeur while admiring Lacecap Hydrangeas blooming nearby.
