Alfred Harral, a talented creator and artist, captured the beauty of various landscapes and moments in history through his remarkable works. In 1872, he ventured to Lassens Butte in the Sacramento Valley, where he skillfully portrayed the breathtaking scenery that surrounded him. The Canyon of the Yellowstone also became a subject of his artistic vision during this time, as he depicted its grandeur with intricate detail. Continuing on his artistic journey, Harral found himself at the Falls of the Willamette in 1872. With each stroke of his brush or pencil, he brought life to these cascading waters and allowed viewers to experience their power firsthand. Yosemite Fall was another natural wonder that caught Harral's attention; its magnificence was immortalized by his creative genius. Not limited to capturing nature's wonders alone, Harral explored other subjects as well. In 1877, he created a stunning portrait of Joseph Joachim - a renowned violinist and composer whose essence seemed to leap off the canvas under Harral's skilled hand. The legacy continued within Harral's family as Horace Harral followed suit in becoming an engraver like his predecessor Alfred. Together they produced incredible prints like "Sick Call, " showcasing their mastery over this medium. In addition to their collaborative efforts, Horace made significant contributions individually as well – one notable example being "A Parliamentary Election In The Nineteenth Century. " This artwork provided insight into historical events while displaying Horace's exceptional talent as an artist.
