In the historic valley of the Nile, amidst the year 1790, an Abyssinian slave named Habesh finds himself engulfed in despair. The engraving of Adam and Eve mourning Abel's death transports us back to 1576 when grief consumed humanity's first family. Their anguished expressions reveal the depths of despair that accompany such tragic loss. An onslaught of Tartars is depicted in an oil painting that showcases chaos and destruction. The terror-stricken faces tell tales of desperation as people fight for survival against this merciless invasion. Anne Boleyn bids her last farewell to her loyal ladies in an engraving from Cassells Illustrated History of England. Her eyes betray both sadness and resignation as she faces her impending doom with grace and dignity. William Blake's relief etching printed in green with watercolor portrays "Visions of the Daughters of Albion.
