The Parsees, also known as Zoroastrians, are known for their unique religious practices, which include ritual bathing, circumcision, and cleansing. In this photograph, we see a young boy being prepared for his baptism, or Navjote ceremony, in a large, ornate basin filled with water. The boy, dressed in traditional attire, is being held by a priest, who performs the ritual bathing, or ablution, using a small cup to pour water over the child's head.
